Now that we have an understanding of figurative language in a language arts sense, lets examine how musicians use it to create the songs we listen to.

The links listed below show the lyrics to the song.  Your task is to choose three (3) songs and examine the lyrics and see if you can identify the type of figurative language used and what the artist is trying to say in common language on the MS Word corrected Figurative Language in Modern Music Worksheet.
